Transgourmet is a French wholesaler for food professionals, owned by the Coop Group. The company is Europe's second largest self-service and wholesale delivery company. Transgourmet Group was founded in 2008 as a joint venture between Rewe and Coop, but it is fully owned by Coop since 2011.
The company operates in various countries such as Switzerland, France, Germany, Austria, Poland, Romania and Russia.
Additionally, Transgourmet Group is the leading national supplier for the delivery of food and hygiene products to catering and bakery-pastry professionals.
The business also owns a division, Transgourmet Export, which offers all à la carte supply solutions anywhere in the world. Furthermore, in 2016, the Group created the Transgourmet Solutions, which offers the company's customers a portal of selected, negotiated and packaged services to accompany them and support their performance.
Moreover, in 2021, Transgourmet acquired the company, GM FOOD, and entered the Spanish market.
The company also owns Transgourmet Academy which offers courses such as culinary expertise, employee training, customer training, etc.
The group's core business is to distribute food products and non-food products and offer its services to vendors including caterers, bakers, restaurants, retailers, bakeries, hotels, etc. Some of its customers include Elior, Class Croûte, Starbucks, Columbus Café, etc.
