This dark black beer in quadruple style with a second fermentation in the bottle is inspired by the best beers from Belgian Trappist brewers. The beer has a light brown dense foam head. The Shinobu distillery is situated just a few hundred meters from the Japanese sea of Niigata, where there is a large amount of snowfall and strong sea breezes during the winter months due to the influence of the Siberian cold current. The Master Distiller, Usami Ken, has applied artisanal beer methodologies that he has accumulated over the course of more than 30 years, particularly in the areas of mashing and fermentation. Fermentation takes approximately six days on average, resulting in a new make that has a clear and solid body of unparalleled purity and aroma. This Shinobu single malt Newborn is blended by hand with new make that have been aged in Mizunara and 1st Fill Bourbon casks for more than a year.
